Hosted by Beijing Prince Kung’s Palace Museum and jointly presented by BAZAAR ART and Harper’s BAZAAR Travel, Elegance and Style: A Dialogue between Prince Kung’s Palace and Chinese Fashion Culture (1780–2025), Season 2 opened on July, 2025. The exhibition featured over 45 works by 26 designers and artists across fashion, art, and craft. As an intern, I contributed to the design of the exhibition space and main visual identity.

The Windows:
The visual identity draws from the ancient lattice-window in Prince Kung’s Palace, forming a twelve-part visual series that reflects the twelve months and four seasons in traditional Chinese culture.

Guided by each window, the exhibition created a zigzag circulation that echoes classical Chinese garden design, inviting visitors to “peek” and partially understand the exhibition, showing the implicit philosophy of Eastern aesthetics.

The botanical and calligraphic elements derived from the Western Mansions’ ornamentation extend the visual language, blending Eastern and Western styles to suggest an ongoing dialogue across time, geography, and culture.

The exhibition unfolded across four halls within Prince Kung’s Palace, with the twelve months organized into four seasonal groupings. Together, they formed a continuous circuit around a central courtyard.
